TODAY
9:30 am Worship
• Today we have the pleasure of hearing from Brett Hedgepeth. Brett is a chaplain for both the Air Force Reserves and Hospice of Cabarrus County. He also serves as a part-time counselor for the En Gedi Center.
• Next week we’ll be hearing from Ben Ressler (son of Allen and Sue).
10:45-11:00 am Interim Fellowship
11:00-11:45 am Christian Education. Join us as we continue in the series, The Respectable Sins (based off the book by Jerry Bridges).

This Week
RUN THE RACE!!!!!  Continuing through Sunday, August 24th, the Children's Church leadership team will present an Olympics theme to our 4-year olds through 2nd graders during the worship hour.  Children will report to Children's Church at the usual time for fun and animated teachings on the story of the great Old Testament leader, Joshua.  Casual attire is encouraged as we will be engaging in fun crafts, special snacks, and some Olympics training!!!!  So tie on those track shoes (or slip on those Sketchers!) and run the race with us as we "fix our eyes on Jesus"!!!

ON THE CALENDAR
Community Sunday. August 17
Family Sunday. On Sunday, August 31st we are implementing what we call “Family Sunday.” The entire worship service will be designed for children – even the sermon! Children’s Church will not meet, though the nurseries will still be in place. Following the service we will dine together over lunch. More details still to come.
Women’s Retreat. Sept. 26-28th. If you haven’t turned in your registration to Christie Spaugh, please do so today.
Taste of Providence. October 18th.
Men’s and Women’s Bible studies. Plans for the men’s and women’s Bible Studies are being finalized (details coming).
Community Groups. Community groups are gearing up for are gearing up for a re-start. Please contact David Beard for information on current groups or interest in starting new ones.
PPC New Members Class. The new members class will be offered again this coming fall. Please contact Mark Weathers if you’re interested in attending.
